My Background & Credentials:
I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and Registered Play Therapist -Supervisor with advanced training in providing clinical supervision. During my doctoral studies, I completed two courses in clinical supervision. Both courses included practicum and internship hours, during which I offered group, live, and triadic clinical supervision for master-level counselors in training. Outside of my 11 years of clinical experience working with children and families using family-based play therapy and adults from a psychodynamic framework, I served as a tenure-track counseling professor.
As a core faculty member for this counseling program, I taught an elective, Foundations of Clinical Supervision course. In terms of my supervision experience, I have provided individual, triadic, and group clinical supervision for graduate trainees, pre-licensed entry-level clinical mental health counselors, play therapists, and advanced mental health professionals. I am an active member of the profession and the author of peer-reviewed research publications on clinical supervision and training.
